Position Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Assistant Controller to join a large, well-established manufacturing company in Fresno County. This Direct Hire opportunity is perfect for a results-driven accounting professional seeking their next career growth challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and internal reports
• Manage general ledger activities and month-end/year-end close processes
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
• Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, supporting their professional development
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure timely audit preparation
• Analyze and interpret financial data to support strategic business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to improve financial performance
• Support cost accounting functions, including analyzing standard costs, monitoring variances, and preparing inventory and manufacturing cost reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
